The main processes enabled by Select are summarised below.

Main processes supported by Select

Automation

Select automates the processes of:

  • Opening and closing the submission period

  • Ensuring the submissions meet your validity requirements

  • Assigning assessors to the submissions

  • Calculating the weighted assessment scores

  • Communicating with the applicants.

A collaborative system

Select is a collaborative system:

  • Submission authors can add co-authors and proof-readers, and work together to prepare their responses.

  • Teams of assessors can distribute the workload, with each submission being assessed by one or more assessors. Select can automatically allocate assessment tasks so that each submission is assessed by as many assessors as required, with all the assessors having even workloads.

  • The role-based access control system allows selectors to establish managers, editors, assigners, assessors and auditors for their entire group, and particular roles can be established for certain selections.

  • Selectors can have Select send emails to all the participants in their selections, to keep all the participants informed about progress, results and other news.

Trusted

Select is a trustworthy system, with every change to every selection record being audited and logged.
